What's Next for Axis: New Hotel and Housing Projects Across Fresno

With the downtown Courtyard by Marriott set to open in August, GV Wire sat down with Axis Hotel Group's leadership to look at what's coming next for Fresno.

On the way: a 124-room Residence Inn by Marriott with a bar and restaurant, planned on First Avenue north of Shaw Avenue, with construction expected to begin this year. Axis is also preparing its first residential development — an apartment community of roughly 100 to 150 units on Barstow Avenue east of the Highway 41 underpass, which cleared a key rezoning approval at the Fresno Planning Commission on July 1.
